HOW DO I PREPARE FOR A TATTOO?

  • Get plenty of rest and sleep well the night before your appointment. Being alert will help you stay calm and very still while your getting tattooed.

  • No alcohol, caffeine, aspirin, or any substance that thins your blood. Avoid these substances for 48 hours before your tattoo appointment to prevent excessive bleeding.

  • Stay hydrated and eat well. This will help you survive longer sessions as well as help your body heal much faster.

  • If scheduling an appointment after a work day, be sure to give yourself enough time to go home and shower. We work in tight quarters and do not want to smell you. Believe us when we say, there is nothing worse than having a smelly foot in your face that was in a work boot all day!

  • Wear comfortable clothes or clothes you can change into upon arriving. While we always try our best to keep pigment away from garments, we ask to never wear expensive designer clothing or clothes you are attached to when receiving a tattoo.

TATTOO ETIQUETTE

  • Sit still during the entire procedure. While getting tattooed you should refrain from moving, grabbing your phone or drink, speaking with your hands, or turning your head to look at a tattoo. You may not realize it, but these slight motions will make other parts of your body move as well.

  • Do not distract your tattoo artist. Once the tattoo has started, you should keep still and not distract your artist. While casual talk is fine, please refrain from over stimulating your artist by talking or showing them pictures on your phone every time they stop to dip their needle. After all, they are trying to concentrate to give you, the client a great tattoo.
